Abney Park Cemetery (http://www.abney-park.org.uk) covers 32 acres in the London Borough of Hackney. Access is from Stoke Newington High Street.

Opened in 1840 to accommodate non-Conformists, it is said to contain 250,000 plots. Perhaps over a million were buried there, up to seven per plot. It is now a nature reserve and the graves are sadly overgrown, but Tombi Peck managed to find the Murray plot (grave 9361) and parts of the headstone bearing the names of Josephine (d. 1853), her father James (d. 1867) and his wife Sarah (d. 1899).
